How can I soup razor electric scooter? The dual voltage? Different types of batteries? Lithium polymer?

One of my friends recently gave me his old razor E300 scooter type. He said he was fried and was discarded. Well, I thought if I could get stuffed works again. I opened the lid and found two 12-Volt Batteries razor scooter through a cable box (I think it's a computer) for the engine and turn throttle. Playing with a bit more I found that the box (computer) has been fried. So, I cut the trunk battery, motor and pedal and rigged my way. The batteries are now directly connected to the motor on and off. It works rather well. My question is: How can I do to go faster? Triple tension at 36? Buy lithium polymer? Three of these jobs? http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.15599 cable together to make the right 33.3 voltage? More tension = more speed? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

If you do that, you definitely FRY engine. There should be a sticker or plate on the motor with the voltage requirements of the amplifier, stick to it.
